Pitch@Palace is back for round 5. An event founded by the Duke of York to act as a high profile platform for startups to pitch to a group of invited supporters including CEOs, Angels, Mentors, and key Business Partners.

"my naval background led me to understand one of the fundamental facets of entrepreneurial business; that ‘no plan outlasts first contact with the enemy’, and that there is no better way of finding out if your idea will work than to put your idea into practice." said the Duke of York. "However, this is not the only answer and that in order for entrepreneurial business to take place then the opportunity, the right conditions and the right start up eco-system needs to be available. Pitch@Palace is about creating the network and opportunities for young Start-Up and Scaling businesses can be given acceleration."

Pitch@Palace is hosted at St. James's Palace where 12 to 15 entrepreneurs get the opportunity to pitch to a room of over 300 people.

Alumni include Spacious (Now Hubble) who have raised over £500,000 to date, Mihaibao who has raised $1.6m seed from an impressive list of investors and is making waves in China and Purple Wifi who have raised $5 million since Pitch@Palace to expand internationally.

The event takes place twice a year & you can get involved! Applications are considered from entrepreneurs at all stages.

Pitch@Palace 5.0 takes place on Monday 7th March & this event is focused on Bio Tech.

In the lead up to the main event there will be three pitch events in three locations as part of a Pitch@Palace tour. There will then be a bootcamp in Cambridge (the home of Bio Tech)  before the main event on 7th March. The dates and locations are as followed:

London  - Tuesday 26th Jan

Manchester  - Tuesday 2nd Feb

Glasgow  - Tuesday 9th Feb

'Bootcamp' - Cambridge - Monday 22nd Feb

The Pitch@Palace Boot Camp will provide 42 Entrepreneurs with the opportunity to hear from leading industry experts and Pitch@Palace alumni, as well as receiving support and mentoring. All participants are asked to prepare a 3 minute Pitch for a Panel of Judges, who will select between 12 to 15 Entrepreneurs to pitch at St. James's Palace on Monday 7th March, 2016.
