Much like this dog found something new to play with, I thought I'd put together a list of places that can help you find new useful tools to have a play with and see if they can help you manage and grow your startup. Also it's a Friday afternoon and you're looking for tools to help manage your startup, you deserve to take a minute out to watch a funny dog video.
OK now back to work! Here's are the sites to help you find new tools for your startup:
Product Hunt - This site is doing the rounds right now and is a great way to find new tools for your startup with it's peer driven recommendations helping you find the best tool for your startup needs.
For instance I needed to find a free accounting software the other day and despite coming across many via a Google search, I could't be sure which to trust. With Product Hunt I just searched for 'accounting' and found a list of tools with comments and upvotes by members of the community. Including those I follow and respect on Twitter, giving me greater confidence to try it out.
CNET - A great trusted review site which allows you to download software too. Lots of new tools added daily and lets you easily see how useful it may be with a user rating and some even have an editors rating. these often have more in depth reviews of the product.
Certainly one to check out if you have a particular need in mind. Have used this site for years and has always served me well.
Tune Your Startup - This site has a good list of tools, although lacking in the descriptions it nicely categorizes them. Once you find one which seems to fit your need you can find out more on their site. The site is still being develop really to be more useful, but as it's a good start in terms of options.
Get Startup Tools - This has less tools and is updated less regularly but his a highly curated list which offers some of the best tools for your startup and shows the best offers they have as well. Certainly one to look at if you have a bit of money to spend on a robust tool while getting a few months free or discounted to help.
Hope these are useful, please do share any other great resources which share new tools for startups in the comments below. Now go have fun finding and playing with new tools to make running your startup easier and more efficient!
