Startup of the Week: Flavrbox

Startup of the Week - Posted: October 18, 2013

Seb Powell Flavrbox

Seb Powell is a co founder of this weeks startup of the week, Flavrbox. Flavrbox is a subscription box service which delivers a range of non perishable food products from a range of independent food and drink producers.

The idea is to help aid discovery of new food and drink products by sourcing different and interesting non perishables from a range on independent producers, for example previous boxes have included Olive Oil Jam, Chocca Mocca Raspberries in Dark Chocolate, Jing Ali Shan Tea & Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company Cheese Straws.

Each box costs £20 including P&P and vegetarian boxes are available to.

The subscription box service is very popular at the moment with others like Graze and Field & Flower. Despite the number of subscription box services, Flavrbox is the only service which covers these types of products. In fact many subscribers, subscribe to boxes from different providers.

Seb hopes that Flavrbox will be able to hit 10,000 subscribers by the end of the year. The more subscribers will surely help them secure more great products in future boxes too as well as bring in a tidy reoccurring revenue stream which is the biggest benefit of this model.

Anyway I'm looking forward to discovering what's in next months box!

If you are too, then you're in luck! We have an exclusive code so that you can get £5 off your first box when you sign up (also valid on gift subscriptions). The code is YHP2013.
