STAGE ONE AT GOOGLE CAMPUS LONDON

The first stage of the programme will kick-off on the morning of Wednesday 3rd July at Google Campus. 50 lucky startup founders will be invited to record a pitch demo inside the CampusCam, a video booth inside Google Campus, in the heart of Tech City.

There will also be experts on hand throughout the morning to give out advice, with the opportunity to meet the team behind Tech City News.

The programme has been made possible thanks to support and sponsorship from Rackspace, EC1 Capital, Fried Frank LLP and Google Campus.

STAGE TWO DRAGONS DEN AT EIGHT CLUB MOORGATE

25 semi-finalists will then go on pitch in front a panel of experts in a Dragons Den style event at the Eight Club in Moorgate.

Expert panelists include Silicon Valley Bank’s Bindi Karia, Canary Wharf Group’s Eric van der Kleij, EC1 Capital’s Julian Carter and Google’s Eze Vidra.

Commenting on the programme, Eze Vidra, Head of Google Campus said:

“Entrepreneurs can hugely benefit from the ability to quickly and clearly communicate their ideas. The CampusCam booth and the Tech City News Elevator Pitch contest will help showcase the best and brightest pitches in Tech City and encourage more founders to hone this ability”.

STAGE 3 - THE ELEVATOR PITCH

12 finalists from the second round will then be taken to a secret location for the final Elevator Pitch shoot and will win prizes from the programme sponsors.

Each of the 12 finalists will have their final pitches filmed and published throughout the rest of the year on Tech City News.
