An Insightful poem by a 15 years old
Love everlasting
You called me and I answered.
I am both restrained and captivated.
Just when I escape I’m pulled back
to a place I thought I could handle,
I’m clueless on how to react and behave.
The truth burns, it penetrates;
It drags me and pulls me- Oh why must I feel this pain?
It is finished
The delusion of a fantasy love is the biggest mystery...
such an attractive specimen, a huge list of things to gain
BUT yet
I am here forced to understand the shame
Of the agonizing reality that builds my existence.
Who am I to find fault in a life, I voluntarily chose for myself?
It’s finally complete
A blinding illumination has left me numb,
It’s opened me up to new horizons
Took me to the “big wide ocean,”
Then left me there to drown.
I've seen the myth of a limitless love,
Oh the freedom I heard it could bring,
Love ripped away its layers and exposed the
Deceitful trap of an everlasting friendship
My only desire
Is to leap in a time machine
And go back to that day when, you called me and I answered
It is starting
I’ve called you and you’ve answered
We’ve heard each other loud and clear
The warnings for the volcanoes,
The earthquakes and the hurricanes
We’ve heard them together,
It is before the destruction engulfed us to a point
Where we were left numb
And left to drown.
It is before the end
And before the middle, even before the start.
Love everlasting.
