In the first of our Startup of the Week series, I look at a company called Field & Flower. The reason being I was lucky enough to come across the company after getting a free taster box courtesy of a PeerPerk from PeerIndex.
The company deliver premium meat boxes nationwide, straight from the farm. you can expect on the highest quality and freshest product. Horse meat not included.
With a number of different boxes available on a subscription basis & one off boxes available as well, they have something for everyone. Once you look at what is offered in a box the price is actually very competitive.
The company was started by James Mansfield & James Flower in 2010. Get it? Field & Flower. The two James' graduated with agricultural science degrees, but for James Mansfield this was after a short career in media & events, but turning to his passion for farming he turned to the agricultural science degree where he met his co founder.
The company has also been mentioned in the Rose Princes, The Good Food Guide 2011 for the 'remarkable quality of meat.'
Having grown mainly through word of mouth Field & Flower are now finding different ways of spreading the word such as through partnering with PeerIndex to offer free boxes to influencers who are further spreading the word.
