Circalit is an online community for screenwriters founded by Raoul Tawadey in Mid 2010.
During his time working in a film production studio, Raoul realised just how difficult it was for talented new writers to break into the industry. After much thought and research, Circalit was founded as a place for screenwriters to showcase their work to studios(with Deals with The Script Factory, which has links to both Disney and Sony Pictures). A crowd-sourcing platform for literary agents, film producers and publishers was born.
The Platform allows writers to upload their screenplays in a safe and secure manner, and to build up support for their screenplay within the industry. It also allows screenwriters to take control over the way their screenplays are marketed and distributed.
Circalit bridges the gap between industry professionals and individuals, and also provides a forum for writers to discuss each others' work. Users can also receive feedback, collaborate with other writers, manage their fanbase, share tips and become part of an ever-growing network of industry professionals.
Writers can take part in group discussions, collaborate with other writers, and receive advice on matters ranging from writing style to formatting and marketing their work
The website also has a ratings system that is used to determine which scripts are the most popular with the community and industry professionals are sent recommendations on scripts that are particularly suited for them by the best up and coming writers found.
So if you’re looking for help editing your work, this is your place, a great place to upload your drafts and get free community and professional feedback. If you’re looking to build up a professional reputation and need help finding the right agent, check out Circalit.
