So what is the Kairos Society?
Founded in 2008, the Kairos Society is a non-profit organization. The Kairos Society is based in the United States and was founded by Ankur Jain. Ankur asks the question: “What if today’s most influential leaders were friends 30 years ago, working together to solve the world’s problems?”
The Kairos Society works to find and empower the young pioneers who will push the world forward through entrepreneurship and innovation. Doing so with the support of the top universities, mentors, and corporations across the globe.
From their site, they say: At the Kairos Society, we view today’s global problems as opportunities for entrepreneurs to focus on the meaningful businesses and innovations that will radically change the world for the better. Not only for our generation, but for the generations to come.
Every year the Kairos Society hosts a Global Summit event in New York. This brings together Kairos fellows from around the globe with world leaders across business, technology and politics to discuss pressing global challenges and innovative market-driven solutions.
Having seen over 1,200 students flourish through the Kairos Society fellowship across 5 continents; we welcome the Kairos Society to the UK.
On November 9th 2013, the Kairos Society UK opens the doors of Level 39 Canary Wharf to the inaugural Kairos Society UK conference. There will be some great speakers on the day including Cliff Prior, CEO of Unltd, Andrew Y. Ng, Co-founder of Coursera, Lord Bilimoria, Founder and Chairman of Cobra Beer and Rajeeb Dey, Founder and CEO of Enternships to name a few.
There will also be a pitching competition as well as the "Future of Education" panel discussion, a hot topic with the Kairos Society. It's certainly something I'm looking forward too! Hope to see you there.
