I came across this series of events after an email I received from Seedrs, who are partnering with of School for Startups founder (and original Dragon) Doug Richard to host a series of nine, free events, called Windows of Opportunity.
The event will visit 9 different locations in the UK (locations and dates below) and each workshop will explore everything about investing and raising money. With the lack of lending from banks, opportunities to find out about alternate forms of funding are massively useful and I would recommend taking a look at this free event.
Here's what they say:
We will teach entrepreneurs through to small and medium sized businesses about the full span of options for raising money that exist. We will explore the specific risks attached to the range of funding options from working capital and equity to trade finance and receivables financing.
We will demonstrate how one could raise money in the 21st Century and direct you to the businesses and organisations that are doing it best for what you need.
The cities and dates are:
Nottingham: Thursday 11th October
Sheffield: Friday 12th October
Leeds: Tuesday 16th October
Newcastle: Wednesday 17th October
Plymouth: Wednesday 24th October
Bristol: Thursday 25th October
