Running your own business is a tough job, and some things are for sure, you will be on the move a lot, you will work late into the night and you will have a lot of meetings!
So you need to have a phone which can match this lifestyle, enable you to work on the go, be easy to use and carry over long periods of time & have a feature set to help run your company with as little added stress as possible.
Smartphones over the years have come along way, and alongside tablets are used in our work lives just as much as they are for our personal live. With entrepreneurs the line between the two blur somewhat.
So without further ado here is a little list of smart phones which I feel are most suited for the busy entrepreneur:
(and no there are no Blackberry's)
iPhone 4s
Let's get the obvious one out the way first. It was always going to be on the list. With a fast A5 processor, ability to have multiple calendars, facetime video calling, iCloud and arguably its biggest advantage, the apps stores huge range of applications (I will do an article on best business apps at some point) the iPhone sounds like a good choice. And don't forget about Siri, you're personal voice assistant! But how useful that actually is in real life, I don't know, I've barely used it in the 9 months or so I've had mine.
But it's not all good, the iPhone eats through its battery like the cookie monster munches through a pack of Marylands!
To add to this you can't switch batteries, or add extra memory and the screen is on the small side at 3.5 inches.
Samsung Galaxy S III
The Samsung straight away adds a bigger screen than the iPhone at 4.8 inches allowing you to view documents on much easier. Although if you have small hands and pockets the extra size may cause issues.
The Galaxy S III also has a personal voice assistant called 'S'. No idea if it's any good (let me know in the comments if anyone can comment on this feature), but one suspects it's more of a nice to have like Siri.
It does also have decent sharing capabilities but only really if you share content with someone with the same phone which is a bit limiting.
The quad core processor also ensure that you won't have many of those frustrating seconds of waiting in our ever fast moving, impatient world.
Motorola Droid Razr MAXX
This may not be one of the first phones to come to mind, but it should be!
An impressive list of qualities for the busy entrepreneur. First let me tell you that this has a looooong battery life! No more searching like a madman for a power outlet whilst you're waiting for an investor call.
Another hugely important feature is the ability to remote wipe and encrypt data. Security is always an issue and this suitably covers the issue.
It has a nice sized screen at 4.3 inches and extra memory space in the form of an SD card slot. The battery like the iPhone cannot be removed but it's longer battery life makes switching batteries less necessary.
The camera is fairly paltry, if that is a key feature you would be better of with either of the previous two phones.
HTC One X
The HTC also has a large screen at 4.7 inches and this means viewing PDF's (it has its own PDF viewer) and other documents look great but using one hand to type becomes very hard to do unless you are Sergei Rachmaninoff.
The phone is also a world phone, so travelling to and from the other side of the world should pose no problem.
The HTC One X also runs on the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich and much like the iPhone has a multitasking feature which is always useful and should be no problem to handle with its Quad Core processor.
It doesn't however cater for expandable memory but it is has 32GB of space so you should OK on that front. It also has a front facing camera capable of 720p video and video stabilization for better video conferencing.

So another good choice, lots to think about when looking for a smart phone for the smart entrepreneur.
I'm not going to rate these, everyone has different criteria and I haven't even touched on price, but hopefully this will help you choose a phone which can cater for the busy on the go lifestyle of an entrepreneur like you.
I plumped for the iPhone due to the app store which has an unmatched level of apps to help make your business and personal life easier. Its also where most apps are released first which is always good.
Hope this helped!
