A millionaire by 40, a journey towards financial freedom – Grant Ridley

Start-Ups - Posted: June 3, 2011

Grant Ridley

Grant Ridley is slowing making headlines; the former Hebburn Comprehensive School student has recently launched his new company “The Guerrilla Marketing Company”.

The Guerrilla Marketing Company specializes in creative out of the box marketing, targeting small businesses and business start ups

According to Grant, one isn’t born with the title “entrepreneur” – one must work hard to become a good entrepreneur. Hard – work and determination is a vital tool in becoming a successful individual.

Grant who got his first action in entrepreneurship at the National Enterprise Academy in 2010. This drove him in studying Business and Management as part of The International Baccalaureate at Newcastle College and from then, he has never looked back.

Although he said “ I haven’t always had an interest in business like many entrepreneurs will claim they’ve had, no I wasn’t selling sweets at age 10, I was enjoying my childhood, playing for a football team, playing with the kids next door, looking back I wouldn’t change anything. I believe entrepreneurs are made and anyone can do it no matter what their upbringing, YOU just have to believe”.

Going from strength to strength, getting the opportunity to pitch in front of Kirsty Henshaw of Worthenshaws (one of Peter Jones’ latest investments) and Claire Young (finalist of the Apprentice), which he later said gave him more confidence and motivation in succeeding in his business.

Grant is also on the quest to become a millionaire before age 40, hoping to create a comfortable life for him and his family, his journey towards financial freedom.
