Loopt Partners With Fatburger & Fox

Entrepreneurship - Posted: January 5, 2011

Loopt & Fatburger Team Up

You may remember Loopt founded by Sam Altman, well Loopt has now announced that it has partnered with Fox in a bid to promote its latest animated show Bob's Burgers.

The promotion combines reverse product placement and the mobile location-based service. You may be more used to seeing a real product put in a movie but this deal sees 64 Fatburger stores being turned into the fictional Bob's burgers even offering the fictional burger joints special "The Thanks a Brunch Burger."

Android and iPhone users will be able to use the Loopt mobile application to redeem the coupon of a free burger with any "Big Fat Deal."

This isn't the first time Fox have done this, having previously teamed up with 7-Eleven to convert them into Kwik-E-Marts prior to the release of The Simpsons Movie in 2007.
