Startup quote is a product of the two brothers(Ray & Chris Chan) main company rolling egg, a web design company.

The website features head shots of the world's greatest entrepreneurs and innovators, above which is a speech bubble containing a single quote on what it takes to succeed.

The brothers said they started the project whilst working on their comedy site and it demanded for them to read lots of article and through always found articles that talk about entrepreneurship and start-ups and say "We thought, Why don’t we start a quote site with remarkable quotes to help people get inspired?".

They simply choose quotes that go on the site, by making sure the person who said the quote is well known, the owner of the quote must be credible meaning they must have done something meaningful. They are already getting lots of people sending in quotes.

In an interview with Issie Lapowsky of Inc, one of the brothers, ray chan said other founders are already getting involved "For example, the founder of Foursquare sent a quote about talent. It’s kind of like an interaction between us and the founders, which is one of the coolest things about the Startup Quote project".

The brothers may already be getting press and interest from the startup quote project but they remain adamant that it is only a side project and their main work is a comedy site called 9GAG.
