Nadine is the founder of Curl Harmony, A company she started in July 2008 after finding it difficult to find natural hair products for afro in the UK.

She said she has always wanted to go into business for a long time “It's something that I have always wanted to do and when I couldn't find the hair products I wanted to buy, I knew this was something I could make a success of”.

The products are handmade and use natural or naturally derived ingredients as they only use curl friendly ingredients and avoid nasties like sulphates, mineral and silicones.

She said her chemistry degree helped her a lot in researching and formulating the product range.
Nadine started by taking out a £5000 personal loan to fund the business which was mainly used for the website, ingredients and packaging.

She has just started to ship to countries outside of the EU and also looking to gain market share in USA and Canada.
