There’s nothing

Be Inspired - Posted: January 22, 2010

nothing

A Poem By Poet Ivy

There's nothing you can do to shake me,

Because...
...I have seen agony and anguish
I have been beaten up and punished
I have been backstabbed by my peers
I have mingled with failure and fears
I have smiled in the furious face of sorrow
I have been told by the doctors I would not see tomorrow
I have walked with a hunch back like I was from Notre-Dame
I have real enemies that have done me real harm

There's nothing you can do to break me

Because...
...I have been heartbroken thrice
I have been dumped twice
Love hates me
Lust only tricks me
I have been depressed,
Oppressed,
Suppressed,
The doctor accessed
Me and stressed
the fact that I'm mentally stressed.

There's nothing you can do to re-make me,

Because...
...I have been everyones puppet on the string
My former woman had many a fling
I don't sleep at night cause nightmares keep me up
I have seen utter rage from the bulls
I have been classed a 'cool fool'
I have been booed at the Emirates cos I wore sky blue
Even been forced to go to Paris to attend 'The Festival of Fools'

You can't shake me, you can't break me, you can't remake me.

I have seen saddists,
I have heard hypocrites,
All tried to belittle me
But, yet I stand tall like the burj
Even climate change couldn't change me
I remain indomitable like a lion
Cos in all of this I heard his voice
I seeked his words
He abided with me
He gave me hope and courage
He showed me the light at the tunnels end.
He was more than a friend.
He's a healer and he never pretends;

(Sighs)

His name is,
His
Name
Is...
....Jesus.
Please please please thank him for me.
