A £9 million project to build an all-electric city car has been announced by the Government.
The T.27 car is a collaboration between Gordon Murray Design and Zytek Automotive Technology.
Government-backed project
The project, which is scheduled to produce four prototypes by February 2011, will cost £9 million – with £4.5m of the investment coming from the government-backed Technology Strategy Board.
The car will be designed and built in a way that minimises the use of energy and materials in order to keep the environmental impact of the car as low as possible.
