Household take-up of digital services has increased significantly since 2007, according to research by Ofcom.
The communications regulator has released interim data from its UK adult media literacy report, due out in full in early 2010. It revealed 73% of households have an internet connection, 91% have mobile phones and 89% now have digital television reception.
The research found 75% of adults now use the internet at home or elsewhere, compared with just 63% in its last report in 2007 and 59% in 2005.
